Patna airport to celebrate ‘Yatri Sewa Diwas’ today

Patna: The Airports Authority of India (AAI) will observe ‘Yatri Sewa Diwas’ at Jayprakash Narayan International Airport, Patna, on Sept 17, showcasing its commitment to passenger comfort, community engagement and service excellence, as directed by the ministry of civil aviation and AAI headquarters. The celebrations will include a traditional welcome for passengers with tika, a sapling plantation drive titled ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’, and folk dance performances of Jhijhiya and Kajri at the arrival hall. Schoolchildren from Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 2 Bailey Road, Govt Senior Secondary Girls School Shastri Nagar, and Govt Senior Secondary School BMP 5 will take part in quiz and painting competitions on the theme of patriotism. Branded selfie booths and creative selfie points will be placed around the terminal. Other activities include a blood donation camp with the Red Cross, free health and eye check-up kiosks in collaboration with private hospitals, and an airport familiarisation tour for classes X, XI and XII students with career guidance in aviation. Passenger feedback will be a key part of the initiative. AAI-Patna has set five questions each for arriving and departing passengers, covering sanitation, ease of access, staff behaviour, food availability, ambience, and facilities. Passengers can rate services as poor, fair, good, very good, or excellent and also share suggestions. Airport director Krishan Mohan Nehra told reporters, “Yatri Sewa Diwas is a chance to strengthen our dedication to providing passengers with a safe, smooth, and culturally enriching travel experience.” Senior officials, including executive director commercial K Radhika, ATC incharge Uma Shankar, head of operations Jawed Akhter, deputy general manager (finance) Manish Gupta, human resource manager incharge Kanti Bara, and officer on special duty and media incharge Anand Satsangi attended the briefing.
