New Director assumes charge at RCC

R. Rejnish Kumar, additional professor of Radiation Oncology, on Thursday (August 14, 2025) assumed office as the new Director of the Regional Cancer Centre, Thiruvananthapuram .

He succeeds Rekha A. Nair who had occupied the post since 2018.

Dr. Kumar, who has been working as a radiation oncologist at the RCC since 2001, has over 25 years’ experience in clinical medicine and as a faculty member. He also has to his credit over 100 research publications in reputed journals.

He is an alumnus of Kasturba Medical College, Mangaluru, and KMC, Manipal.
